Town of Oakville Opening more Park Amenities

Provincial emergency order remains in place until at least May 29
The town is working towards reopening more outdoor amenities over the coming week, while maintaining provincial orders and following public health directions.
The following amenities opened this week under provincial COVID-19 safety protocols requiring two-metre distancing during use and no groups of more than five, other than members of the same household.
Now open:
  • town-owned leash-free dog parks
  • parking lots at Tannery and Waterworks Park, Gairloch Gardens, Coronation Park, South Shell Park
  • Bronte, Coronation Park and Busby kayak/canoe launches
  • publically accessible sports fields (areas not locked and enclosed with fencing)
  • picnic tables and benches
  • skateboard parks
  • tennis and pickleball courts
All playgrounds, playground structures, splash pads, outdoor fitness equipment and public washrooms remain closed. Review the news release for details.
